Few hours in the woods Saturday with the kids....Leeks and some big morels (about 30). Also managed a bullfrog, catapillars, crayfish, and a garter snake. They were all released unharmed.

Way to go Neal. Ya gotta love it. My son and I just got back, 4 hours, 38 yellow and 1 grey. Only 6 were prime. The rest good but going down hill. We left 10 or so that were to far gone.

Thanks....Probably my best day at the cabin ever. We made a list the day before of all the thing we wanted to do that day. We also squeezed in a geocache, planted pumpkins, campfire, quad riding, and them shooting the .22 for a while...great memories.

Count me in. Our cache team is Land Pirates.:lol::evil:. Nice Shrooms and leaks.Been doing ok here on the shrooms but have yet to find any leaks.Lot of wild chives.

Seriously, I have never found any big pockets of shrooms there, but the leeks are endless.

I've been finding alot of yellow morels, but have still yet to find a leek. There's none behind my mother-in-laws when I looked up there and the only thing even resembling a leek near my house so far is lilly-of-the valley. Smell good, but I wouldn't eat it!:lol: Nice find and sound like you had a good time. My wife enjoys her time out as well. However, she spends most of her time sniffing different flowers.:) (Well, except the 5 yellows she spotted yesterday compared to my 1:lol:)
