Well, this was my first time actually intentionally trying to find them. I discovered that they like big toothed aspens. I checked out nice big patches of them and found these sweet smelling morsels. I could have picked more, but I didn't have a ladder..lol!! Some were still a bit small too. By Monday and the rain this weekend I hope they are quite a bit bigger. Here's what I found though. I know what I'm eating at my Dads. If you can't tell I'm kind of hooked on shrooming now. I walked for miles today so I know that's gotta be good for me.:)

No! They ARE better than the wrinkly ones!;) Good job on the oysters, fasthunter.I found a few yesterday and I'm happy again.:D Big tooth aspens are not the only carriers, but they are one of the better. Any aspen or cottonwood and black willow could have them[dead wood].Keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks guys. My whole family scarfed those up yesterday. I'm thinking these mushrooms would go really good on a seafood alfredo or similar dishes like that. Might make a mean clam chowder as well. Who knows when I look for morels behind my mother-in-laws I might find more.:D If not there's always Monday. Also, Axis gear good job on finding some too. I really like them. Sauteed they taste kind of like oysters too.
