I took my son today to check a couple new spots. Driving down the dirt road I slowed to look at a dead elm 4 ft off the road. Tue I got out, checked this tree and there was nothing. Even at 10 mph this yellow literally stuck out like a sore thumb. Beer can size, 2 ft above and 2ft beside, leaning at a 45 deg towards the road. The only thing missing was a sign saying pick me. Son got out and picked 8 nice ones. Ended up with 12 yellow and 5 greys. Left a few bug eaten yellows.

HMMMM..... Were you on a motorcycle on that dirt road? I was behind a guy with his son on the back and saw them get off to pick some shrooms the other day. Slowed to see exactly what it was and sure enough had some nice ones.

Congrats. Also, reminds me of yesterday. I get out to my mother-in-laws and planned on going out behind the house to look for shrooms. I didn't find any back there, but I kept 4 yellows, and one gray from her front yard. I went to look in the ditch and there were 7 weedwhacked yellows, and one ran over by the lawn mower near her flowers.......blasphemy!!:lol::lol::lol: Still got 5 to eat from the yard though. I took the rinse water and put it out back in a good spot where they won't mutilate them this time............Also, I just realized I was signed on as my wife. This is really fasthunter talking. I don't feel like re-writing it....lol!!

No I was in a truck. But road hunting shrooms must be worth while.
