saw on michigan out of doors last week that said you should chalk your call box, and said what kind is best to use, but I missed what they said. does anyone remember or know what kind of chalk to use.

David - I don't remember the exact name, but most any sporting goods stores sell it. I look for the big piece because it's easier to handle and isn't as easy to misplace. Generally all of the chalk I've seen is brown in color. I'm sure that's more of a safety thing then it has to do w/ performance. I see from your profile you're from Warren, you might want to check out Gander Mnt. over by Lakeside, they have a pretty good selection of turkey gear.

Carpenter chalk they called it, they said it makes a good sound.

I use Blue Carpenter's Chalk. You can find
it at any Hardware store and it makes your
box call sound like the REAL thing!!!!
