This team will win many, many cups. If by chance the Wings and Pens meet up in the cup finals I will give a slight edge to the Wings due to expierience. "Slight" being the operative word here. However, the next decade or more will be owned by the Pens. That team is stocked with very young highly skilled talent. Going forward, any holes that are exposed will be quickly filled with veteran free agents willing to take less to play with such a highly skilled team. I am not a Pens fan by any means but the talent level on this team is just sick.
More importantly. Congrats to Super-Mario for his contribution in the rebound of a financially strapped team and making it the dynamic display for such little money.

 100% Dead on.
I don't like the Pens either,, never have,, never liked Mario and Jagr but I always respected them. I love the way you describe the talent level they have now though,,, sick. Dats and Zetterberg are great,, don't get me wrong,,, but they play on the same line and it seems like they kinda "have" to,,, to feed off each other. Sid the Kid and Malkin play on different lines,,, throw Staal, Hossa and Whitney in there and it gets even more "sick". Watch this guy Malone too,, he's been playing lights out. If the Pens do have a major weakness,, I have to believe it's on D,, they have Gonchar and he's been playing amazing this year but they need to add another.

Oh pah-leeeease...:lol: Leave it Fly-Daddy to come in and stroke Sid the Kid and the Pens. The Pens look great because they play in the B-league. They face defensemen like Derian Hatcher.
While I agrgee the strides this team has made are worth every accolade, the word "slight" doesn't enter my mind when comparing the two teams.

This team will win many, many cups...FD
and they will all be embossed with the word "Cooper"
Get out of town and take mrblugil with you. The DETROIT RED WINGS are going to win the cup and we don't want to hear any fellow Michiganders getting aroused about another team. After the Wings win the cup, you can come back here and tell us what you see in your little crystal ball.
For right now, it's time to enjoy watching the most talented hockey team ever assembled in the history of all mankind (that's the WINGS in case you didn't know).
GO WINGS!!!!!!!!! Here's to your many Stanley Cups you will win in the next 10 years.

You know Jigs..... I could have bet the house you would chime in on a hockey post by me. I should have known better, that comments from the peanut gallery would soon follow.

It's just a matter of it works best. Remember Zetterberg missed time this season, so did Homer and Pavel still was huge. He helped make guys like Franzen and Cleary better over the season.
and for the record, I'll take Pavel over "Sid the Kid" all day long. His skills have been WAY blown out of proportion. I'm not saying he's not one of the best young stars in the game but Ovechkin > Crosby

One or the other seems to get in a "funk" when they're not together. They used to show stats during the games on how dramatic their point totals go when they're together versus when not.
