Currently I only have a extra full for my Rem 870 12 Ga. Just found out my barrel is in that I ordered, it's a 28 inch rem choke. Have'nt patterned yet obviously but I'm wondering, should I buy a Comp-n-choke or true glow. Hate to spend 50-60 bucks until I see what the tube I've got will do.

Smitty, I just bought the Truglo choke tube for my remington 11-87 which is sporting a 26" barrel. I haven't had a chance to pattern it yet due to the crappy weather or my job. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to run some different shells through it at various distances. I'll let you know what I think of this choke tube afterwards.

Smitty - I can't speak for Remington. But, I only have a full in my Super Black Eagle and it patterned just fine at 30 yds. If I remember right (and that's asking alot from me after a whole year) I think I had about 37 pellets in the kill area w/ 3" Federal #6's. Try it first and see what you think you could spend the money on something more fun, like some new calls or a good vest instead of another choke. Good Hunting, The Nailer

Smitty,do as the others suggest and pattern
your gun first. Spend any extra money on a scope. I hunt with an 870 with a turkey choke
that has a Weaver K3 on a cantilevered mount.
You don't miss with a setup like this using
#5 3inch mags.Oh yes, this is also a great slug gun shooting 50 cal. sabots after changing to a rifled choke. Tom
