Well, I have a bit of a wiring problem on my boat, fishfinder not working, trolling speedo not working, bilge pump not working, radio does work. Thought I would fix this yesterday, got underneath the console to find the problem, yea right.
The biggest tangled gob of spagetti I have seen. Bare wires, broken wires, frayed wires.
Since I am (electrically challenged) I was wondering if anyone knows anyone in the local Detroit area where I could take the boat and have the electronics properly wired?
Any recommendations would be great

I would imagine any boat repair place could do it, but going in and asking them to do a re-wiring job on the whole boat could carry a pretty hefty bill. Depending on the size boat you have, it may be a job you could easily handle yourself, even if you don't think you're that well suited to do this. Most 12v wiring is a (+) and a (-)(Ground) If you clean off you fuse panel and start from there, cut out or replace any excess wires(except those on calibrated resistance circuits such as transducers or VHF antennas). Not sure how confident you are in your ability, but I'd rather do it myself and make sure its done right and know where to find problems if they come up in the future.
