fishing spots?

new to the area just moved from chicago to white lake area in oakland county and im looking for some good fishing holes where I can fish off the bank, most of the places ive seen are private property, someone please help me out

Kent Lake in Kensington Metropark just south of Milford. You can get to darned near everywhere along the shore there with access to good spots. Plus there are a lot of bass and walleye in there. I would hit the shore between the spots marked L and M and then also try P and S to start with on this map:
