Hey guys,

I'll be up camping along the Au Sable river over Memorial day weekend. I think we are staying near the foote dam or something like that? I've never been in the area, but is there any good fishing that time of year up there? What species? Pike, walleye, bass, all of the above? I have a 14 ft boat that I am thinking about dragging up there if it's worth it. Any tips or places to fish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys,

MDH

We are camping in the national forest somewhere. It looks to be downriver from the foote dam. Should we fish the river, or up in the resevoir by the foote dam? It's a bit of time away, but we'll go over to the bait shop upon arrival to get the scoop. I'll call them in the next few weeks too. If anyone's going to be up there that weekend let me know. We could exchange notes on fishing.

Later,
