was thinking of whipping thurs. night for the first time this year in saint clair, weather permitting. anyone had any luck whipping yet this spring?

Whipped Sunday night in Algonac and only got two. Fished until 11:30
anytime now.

Got 9 (2 trips on the boat)last weekend.. Should of had a limit Sunday night, but I think my hooks weren't sharp enough!:D:lol: The colors have been really different so far..

Were going to try tonight. Its going to be cold but were itching to get the lines wet. I'll post in the morning how we did.

Buddies went out of Marysville whippin last night. picked up four - lost seven.
Rapala clown. Yep, they cried it was cold.:lol: Started at 7 p.m. and quit at midnight.

Another buddy tried from shore. Picked up a white fish on a harness. Zip on eye's.

occasionally I did in the 80's, but lately I haven't. Sometimes it's not a bad idea to use them.. I got to last night. It sure did get cold..

not much to report. took my pops out last night from 8-10:30. 1 hit and thats it. tries purpledescent, bleeding hot olive, and vampire. fished near stag island. to make things worse, when we came in, two other boats at launch did well...............

Sorry,Fishnut I didn't read your post before but my oldfaithful has caught 7 of my 9 fish so far is black & chrome.. The other 2 came on yellow & lime green, first time for me to get fish on those colors...
