Lilacs are bloomin'

After scraping the ice off my windshield I passed a house on Mound road in Shelby Township where the lilacs were in full bloom!

I am thinking about heading out in the morning and it's only supposed to be 32deg :yikes: I may freeze my butt off but there is not supposed to be any wind so that will help.. Other then the ride to get there at 34mph:lol: a little windy until I get to the spot cya on the water.. Cya Slick

Checked the bush today. They are still green but out. Should change to color this week.....I turned to pond and Black River fishing yesterday. Too bad it aint keep bass season yet. I got 3 monsters large mouth and the 4th one broke my line. Caught a nice sucker too but put it back for y'all to play with. Nuthin like hook and worm. May try this afternoon as I still got some crawlies left.

Hey Slick you better pack your mink shorts and mittens. I just checked the forecast and the low will be 23-27 degrees tonight. I was swinging back and forth about taking tomorrow off as a vacation day and fishing. If it was going to be warmer there would be no back and forth. Supposed to be very little wind however, so it should be a nice crisp morning to be out. The river was nice and flat this morning. Made me want to turn around and throw in the towel for the rest of the week!

They just started to bud on ours. They haven't started blooming and it will probably take a while considering the cooler temps. Nonetheless, good luck!
