Fished Holloway lake Saturday and Sunday. Waves and wind were wicked with two foot white caps. We had 6 guys with 3 boats and all launched at the public access off Henderson road. Water was so low still that the docks weren't under water yet.
I caught my first undersize walleye drifting, which seemed like trolling with the wind, just south of the Mt Morris rd bridge on a crawler with a split shot. We then worked our way up the river past Pierson rd bridge, towards Columbiaville with no action. We then anchored behind the Columbiville rd bridge to get out of the wind and fished there for 4 hours. I caught 3 walleye there on the crawler/splitshot rig with only 1 being a keeper. At the end of the day out of 6 people I was the only one to even catch a walleye.
Sunday parked behind the same bridge for 4 hours and caught 4 walleye on the same rig with only one being a keeper.
This was my first time fishing the lake as I normally fish below the dam. I think I like it better at the dam.:fish:

I could use a fishing report, info, on Holloway Walleyes myself. I'm going over there today with my son. Hope to catch a few walleyes. Maybe we can hook up some day. I live south of Davison and plan on giving Holloway a good try for Walleyes this year. Jim.

Where is this lake located? I have not heard of it and have a small boat which keeps me off the great lakes, but I do like fishing for walleye. I am in Waterford.
Thanks for any help.

Holloway Resivor is North of Davision about 5 miles. Take M-15 N to Stanley RD turn RT, to Henderson RD about 4 miles. Turn left to launch entrance. Good luck.

Joe you mention ramps. I have a 17' fish and ski with a 90HP pusher. Will the ramp be able to handle my boat and if so is there a HP limit?

The ramp will take just about anything big enough to trailer. This is one of the best launches in the state. Lots of parking, and docks. Just watch for the sand bars!!

I am looking forward to fishing this lake. I have always tried to find a good walleye lake inland, hopefully this will be the one.
Thanks again!

I think they still hold boat drag races, so I doubt they have hp limit, check to make sure or someone will chine in.

I remember those boat races.
Like someone said, if you can trailer it there you can launch it there (after the water comes up) it still needs to come up about 2 feet as of yesterday. There are some stumps that you need to avoid and after the water comes up to full pool I don't think the stumps are a problem. I never hit one. Good luck.

The launch was nice but it will still be awhile before the water is high enough for the Docks to be under water. There is 10 ramps to use but the $10 fee  to launch is still a bit steep. I did use a sand launch in Columbiaville on Sunday which was a little scary but it saved me $10 and put me by the Columbiaville bridge where we wanted to fish.

;)That launch can't accomodate too much traffic. Especially after the power loaders tear it up during the summer.

Just about there. Went by yesterday and it had I'd say under a foot to come up yet (just a guess though). Stopped at Fishing Tackle Grab Bag and the guy said he hadnt heard much for fishing reports other than the water was low.
