Tried Middle Channel jigging on Sat am. trying to find somewhere out of the wind:yikes:. No luck, marked only a few fish. Headed back to NC jigging that afternoon and picked up 2 nice walleye, 23 and 25 inches:). Nice getting the boat in the water finally, what a crappy weekend to try to keep it under control!

I tried ducking into the Middle Channel for cover from the wind one day last week but I have never caught anything this early in the MC so I stayed out in the NC and battled the wind and picked up 2.

When your going Southish (new word!) from the North Channel toward the lake fish the first big bend more towards Harsens Island, Than the other good spot is by the marina just before the lake seem to hold fish most of the time...

Thanks BDB, we went all the way down to in front of the marina and only tried there. Tried both sides of the river. Nada. Is whipping good in the MC in those spots?

Never done it, but I'm sure it would be in those holes there. Just like the North channel spots are by the beginning of the North Channel.
