I don't want a Bass Boat that cost half as much as a house and goes faster that my truck. If you ever get the chance to go on someone bass boat when there a 1-3ft rollers doing 80mph your boys below:xzicon_sm will pack up and leave from all of the abuse. We will be coming up with a Lund straped with a wicked fast 9.9hp motor. Fish don't swin that fast no need to "chase" them if you know where to look.:D

3 of us were targeting walleye at the mouth of the Detroit River in lake St. Clair.
We caught about 50 smallmouth in the matter of 2 hours on Sunday. Almost non-stop action using crankbaits.

I was fishing from the 9mile pier on Saturday and I caught four small mouths and two were four pounds or better. They were hitting on dark tubes with purple flakes. That may not be a lot of fish, but for fishing off of land it's impressive. I went out Sunday to the same spot and got skunked. I could see that the guys on the boats had their hands in the water quite a bit.

We went out saturday and fished for about 6 hours and had a great time. We landed probabaly 60 or so smallmouth ranging from 2 to 6 pounds and missed just as many there all over the shallows in 4 to 6 ftw, tube baits and jerk baits worked the best for us. We also fished the shorline before we left and caught some big largemouths also. Fished the miles all day. Good luck.

Went out yesterday and did awesome. Didn't catch a whole bunch of fish, probably between 20-25 (still a great day anywhere else). But, the ones I caught were HUGE. My biggest five were 18.5" 18.5" 19" 19.5" and 19.5". We were fishing up by Selfridge which is quite a ways from the mile roads, but it seems like there are just as many fish down there. From the results of our C&R tournament yesterday and what I've been reading, you'd have to be a complete moron not to catch bass right now. Here are some fish from yesterday.http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/526/medium/smth1.JPG

fished 9 mile pier sunday from 11:30 to 2:00...caught 35 to 40 and missed at least 10. not many females. a few bigheads too. i would fish from 11 mile up to to metro beach...you'll catch 'em i'm sure. fish out from the rock jetty that is just south of the 11 mile marina.
