Algonac Sun a.m.

Fished Algonac this morning a few miles north. Got 3 quick fish in the first 45 minutes. Then lost 3 in a row over the next half hour. Then the wind started blowing and the fish quit biting. Trolled crawler harnesses back down river with no luck. Called it a day at noon. One was a nice 24 inch male and the other 2 were 2-3 lbs. Not bad for the first SCR trip!

:coolgleam Were you strictly trolling harnesses on the trip or jigging, handlining, etc.? Did you end up by MC and at what depth did you have the most success? Thanx. :fish:

All fish i caught were jigging. Purple jig with rainbow trout finn-s. Just pulled harnesses back toward the launch to try and locate more fish. After the bite died I still got a few bumps but with the wind etc,,no one was home. All fish were in 32-37 fow. I was fishing up toward MC. The fish were still there. OH! Two of the fish I caught had 2-3 walleye following them right up to the surface! Pretty neat!
