Sunday 4-27 SCR Jigging report

[Slick fishing]

Well kinda slow today compared to yesterday, but I will say one thing the fish sure are nice size this year:D.. We actually had some good size fish compared to yesterday, lots of boats out and not a lot of fish being caught, My buddy was out and they got 4 as we did, I wonder if that one fish at the top had that VHS like Hougton lakers did? because that growth was into the meat but I just cut it out and the rest was good to go, untill next time. Oh yeah.:rolleyes: Worked on the garden-pulled more wire on the new addition - work in the garden more- worked on the addition some more - finished the garden so the grand kids can plant - now headed out to the additon again. Yep, I 've got my limit.:rolleyes: Especially when everyone in the family asks if I'm fishing today.:16suspect Not...........:lol:

IFN and myself ended the morning with 3 fish from various locations around Algonac. Also 3 suckers and 2 smallmouth bass. 2 of the walleyes were around 22-24 inches. One female had not yet spawned. Lots of boats out but we only saw a few fish caught.

There are plenty of suckers for sure Treeman, we did not catch one today but yesterday we caught a but load of suckers.. Yesterday we caught a perch on the stinger as well as a bulegil :lol: ..Cya Slick

It was a allot better then yesterday I still have wind burn on my face from that high winds :yikes: but it did pick up later it got, Bassmad2 if these fish run this size all year:yikes: there will be some heavy weights this year..Cya Slick

MC was slow at best. Most guys I talked to at the ramp either had zippo or one or two fish. The parking lot was filled with trailers ;) Amusing what a few reports of fish will do on a Sunday Morning. I'm sure Algonac and PH were pretty much the same story. We got a late start, fished a couple of hours and got nadda. The guy I was with is still a rookie on boat control as it was his first time out jigging. Plus using an outboard makes it even tougher to control. I did boat a nice size Goobie and a chunk of wood. :lol:

Fished hard this morn 1 eye and 6 suckers, 2 hrs. I think Todd, S. and his possie had 7 after 5 hrs. of fishin, water temp 44.

Looks like things are starting to pick up. Nice job on the fish all!! I have not been out in a week...what are water temps?? Got up late today and me and the dog did find a few nice crappie, one walleye and a nice pike in between naps on an inland lake today:lol:.

I hit Marine City at 6:30 and wanted to troll for salmon first. I made a couple passes with nothing to show.
Moved up river to my favorite hole and, lo and behold, someone gave away my secret spot. There were 8 boats lined up floating right over my honey hole. DOH!~~I guess I shouldn't post pictures on the internet of my favorite honey hole:lol:.

Anyway, I couldn't jig up anything. ONE bite and that was it.

So I went back to trolling and brought in a nice coho that is currently taking a Terryaki bath.

I hate wind, by the way.

We got spanked :lol: the three of us could not catch a big fish on saturday to save our life, all three of us where pre fishing this area few days prior to the tournament and catching "BIG" fish 8lb fish and 6lb and 5lbs and we could do no better then a 3lb on tournament day:dizzy:..

Kev it starting to heat up nice, my buddy with 4 guys on the boat caught 17 fish the day of the tournament, but no big ones, if I had not been so ficsated on staying in this one spot on saturday we could of been there catching some of them quanity instead of looking for quality..

Nut dont give up yet we are just getting started:lol: how you feeling by the way?

WTG Brent! Derek and I fished the MOMC walleye tourney yesterday and picked up 8 and another 30 junk fish. Smallies EVERYWHERE!!! Oldtimer and his sister picked up a 12 lber hand lining spoons.

Trip was great thanks! Weather was 80-85 every day with a slight breeze off the ocean. Fishing sucked! :mad: We basically paid 1000 bucks for a boat ride. It was dead calm that day and out of 20 charter boats only 2 caught fish. We hooked a 20 lb baracuda 10 min. left in our trip. I need some rest though...put my liver to the test for 11 straight days. Those all inclusives are dangerous. :dizzy:

Hey brent, we called it a day around 11:00 with no hits. Pigest problem was boat control. first time trying to opperate a electric with my foot.

I was really dissapointed.

we ended up pullin some rap's and harnesses on the way back to the launch.

Don't stay on one spot too long on a tournamnet morning. Hit your spots quickly to find the right one for that day as everyday is different. I hope Slick doesn't develop those sores after eating that fish :yikes:
