Lexington?

Just moved back here, and I was at my father's place in Lexington and saw quite a few boats fishing not to far of shore. Are they fishing for Salmon? Is there any waleye fishing close to Lexington, besides the river?

Most likely fishing for Salmon , we used take a few walleye evry year while trolling for Salmon in tight by Lexington . When there used to be a good smelt run you would catch a mixed bag of game fish . The fishing in the area has been depressed for a few years now , although I'm hearing better reports this year then the last few .

They catch some nice perch there also. After salmon fishing one day me and Crappie Depot saw some 14 and 15 inchers some guys had at the dock. Been about 6yrs ago. The salmon are in close right now. They could have been salmon fishing. Did you notice if they were moving or anchored up?

They were all trolling, I assumed they were fishing for salmon, but thought I would check. I can't recall the last time I saw that many boats fishing in front of my place. Thanks
