Friday afternoon Marine City

12 Noon, fished for a couple of hours until the South wind pretty much drove me off the river. Jiggin with wonderbread with gulp and a minnow combo in about 20 -25 FOW. Missed numerous strikes because I didnt tie on stingers :bonk: on the wonderbread jigs I had. They were hitting so short they would yank the gulp almost off the jig. Switched to an orange jig with stinger, no hits. Switched to a glo green jig with gulp shad I think and a minnow and stinger and got two about 18-20 inchers. Still missed numerous hits where they just yanked the gulp minnow about off the jig and shreaded the minnow. :rant: Water was 48-49 degrees

Slick I was supposed to fish that Tourny today but had home issues to deal with. At least it didnt rain all day on you guys. I may hit it tomorrow morning with the other 5,000 guys. I found a new-to-me spot yesterday that not many guys hit, so maybe it will produce.

Crusher - it wasnt bad, I just think the cold water has them a little slugish right now. Give it a week or two and they will be jumping in the boat. :)

It was brutal today with the wind I may be out sunday as well, I ziged when I should have zaged today and we would off got our limit if we would have moved just a little Oh well cant get them every time but I know better now:rolleyes:..Cya Slick
