Finally managed to put some in the basket yesterday evening! 82 blacks in just under two hours! Now that we have some rain, and more is coming, mid week should be real strong as will the weekend of May 2! If your coming from downstate to go "up north", I suggest you wait until that weekend. There just starting up here and should pick up steam as the week progresses! Be careful out there and please leave the woods a little neater than what you found it!
Oh, and I found a black button, and a real nice hunting knife! Man, I hope I don't find a crime scene!!!!!! Kinda freaky.....

The crime scene was never found but the perpetrators were convicted.

I'm heading up to the Pigeon River forest next weekend. Any tips on where to start, hot spots-by name or general area? All help is greatly appreciated.

Funny. We walked around in the woods for a few hours last Sunday. We were in the Fairview area, in a spot we always find blacks. Nothing was up yet, but we thought it would be a few days. Guess we should have stuck around for a few more days. Why does work always have to get in the way!

I really think next weekend (5-2) should be fantastic for finding a bunch of fresh blacks! The weather is finally going to cool a little and we have precipitation finally!
