Middle Channel

Thinking about going walleye fishing in the middle channel either this weekend or the next. We have to rent a boat and r going to go out of minics. Anyone know how the fishing is in the channel and if Minics is open this early in the season?

What do they include in their boat rental? How are they equipped?

FWIW, minnichs was closed still last weekend and a couple weeks ago I ran into the big tall guy...(paul maybe...can't remember his name but he's one of the owners) at the middle channel store and overheard him saying they would open in mid may!
I was sure wishing they were open last sunday as we could have topped off the tank after coming back from Gull.
I can drive down there tonight and report back if you need.

Anything is worth a shot now, fish are spotty. Not all too many great reports comming from anywhere. May try harnesses this weekend or jigging the MC.
