Sixers are taking it to 'em after the Pistons dominated the first half. If they lose this one this might be a loooooooong series. :bloos:
BTW- Mr. Big Shot is playing like Mr. Big choke...guy can't hit a lay up.

Sheed had a great game but missed a big shot in the end. The 76ers are a good team, but don't count out the Pistons.

One game, hopefully it will serve as a wake up call that Philly came to play.

Keep in mind that the players run this team, not the coach...It has been this way since Flip arrived here...This series will go 6, maybe 5 if they decide they wanna show up...

Along with the ugly, you can throw in some good and bad. The Sixers played as "good" a game as possible for them. The Pistons performance was about as "bad" as you will ever see. Yet, we were still in the game to the final buzzer.
I am really not to worried about this match up!

Well, it's only one game, but, still, the Pistons had that won then let their guard down. They won't lose the series, but, they want to get through these early series as fast and as easy as possible so they can still be fresh when they face the Celts who will probably sweep their way to the conf finals.

I have news for you guys... the Pistons can very easily lose this series. If they manage to lose tomorrow, it's over. I really don't like the prospects of this Pistons team heading on the road down 0-2 to an energetic youthful Philly team. Maybe a few years back I would not be worried, but I am now!
I'll tell you what, I cant figure these guys out!!! The stones can beat any team at any time. And they can lose to any team at any time!! Seems like they would have learned a lesson from their past playoff loses. The lesson should be that when they let a lesser team (76'ers, Bulls, Cavs) have a glimmer of hope, that team always comes back to give us fits. We should beat Philly, but are they gonna let this series go down to the wire and wear them selves out? Thats what they did in the past. Last years Bulls series wore them out. They were up on the Cavs and let them back in to win the series. Im sure the Stones should win this series but Philly has nothing to lose and everything to gain. So i llok for them to come out and give the Stones a real hard series. Hard enough to put some major wear and tear on the Stones. While the Celtics will have a easier time going thru their series's. Come time for the confrence championships and the Celtics will be fresher while we'll be Tired....seen it happen to many times in the last few years. So im hoping the Stones come out for game #2, and the rest of the series, with a real chip on their shoulders and Kick some Butt!!!

Well said, couldn't agree more...You don't see Boston or Cleveland messing around, they are getting it done, so far in easy fashion. Maybe its because they have head coaches that don't allow lack luster play, especially now that the playoffs have begun...We may have rested the starters at the end of the season, but it won't matter too much if Orlando, Boston, and Cleveland win their series' in 4-5 games, and our series goes 6-7. They will run on all cylinders, and Detroit will run out of gas...I hope the Stones prove me wrong, because I think this may be their last shot at a championship with this starting lineup. Rasheed is getting no younger, neither is Dyess...

First game was a fluke. Cmon guys, did you really lose faith THAT early in the playoffs? Pistons will win out this series, face probably Cleveland in the 2nd round, take them out in 4 or 5, then collide with Boston the ECF. Cmon, they won by almost 20, with only one starter playing more than 30 minutes, and Billups had 9pts and 6assts. Pistons play when they need to, they just needed a wake up call and got one.
I still say an 04 repeat... Pistons vs. Lakers with the stones in 5. Just watch it happen...

It would be Orlando in the next round for the Stones...However, I have them losing to Boston in the conference finals. I've always said, they will never win a title with Flip as the coach

Brown was the best coach this team could have. Say what you want about
Brown, but his style of not allowing stupid shots or lack of intensity was the best for this group. Hate to say it, if the Stones lose Game 4, they are as good as done. I don't see a repeat of 2003 when they were down 3-1 to Orlando and came back. I don't think these guys are hungry enough, nor do I think their coach is capable of getting them motivated...They continuously play when they feel like it and it will burn them, and it may happen against Philly...

Had to turn off the tube for a bit, NO DEFENCE.
Shows how valuable Big Ben was.

Well, the 2nd half was the first time i have watched the Pistons in these playoffs...that is the whole problem, i am not watching them. They definitely looked very good in that 3rd quarter. The thing is, there is no reason they can't always play like that, Pistons can be the best team in the league if they choose to...
One thing though, Billups is OFF, missing shots he always hits and layups, he needs to find his stroke again. He did control the game in the 3rd, but, his shooting and touch is really off.
Hopefully they get it now and can take the next 2, but, who knows. The Pistons are just making it much harder on themselves, cause next round will be Orlando, and that will be no cake walk, then Boston. This was their one chance to finish off a series in 4 or 5 and they had to blow that chance.

Rip went off and won the game for them. Sheed and Chancey each had a great second half as well. Now lets just get consistent and finish off the 76ers!

What the Pistons need is simple...
They need to whole world to tell them they are over-rated and completely stink, they have no chance to win...
and then maybe they will come out with the me against the work approach
