SouthEast Areas?

I was born and raised in Mesick, Mi. Mushroom hunting was definitly a way of life for me. I now live in south east michigan around the metamora area.

I was wondering if anyone has had luck finding black morels in the Ortonville Recreation, Hadley/Metamora or Lapear recreation public land areas?

I have found some in the area. Best year around 100 or so. Worst year was 07 when I found none. Good luck.

I know what ya mean by the way of life mushrooming in Mesick. I lived there for a few years and spent a lot of time in the hills gathering them up and try to make the trip back up every year. My old hot spots still pay off well.
Yes there are shrooms to be found in this area but takes time to find some good spots that don't get over run by others.
