Well, the tourney was a great time. It was on Salamonie Reservoir, Indiana, and 9 of the big ten schools were there. Purdue was the winner, MSU placed fourth, and UofM placed 7th. ESPN was there with Lonnie Stanley (of Stanley Jigs). They had two camera boats out, and were there at the weigh in. There was a fantastic banquet the night before the tournament, complete with guest speakers, an auction, and PRIZES! My teammate won a 55lb thrust Minn Kota bow mount trolling motor with his bid of 100 bucks, it was valued at 350-400. New in box, what a steal. I guess none of the other college kids there could front that kind of money right away. I sure as hell couldnt. Anyways, my biggest bass was 2.6 lbs on a white tube. A kid from Purdue was the winner of the total personal weight category, and his prize was a day of fishing with Lonnie Stanley and ESPN, and a brand new St. Croix rod. GREAT FUN. I cant wait to do it agian next year!

I was wondering where the report was Art. I hear you are a picture guy, so are there photos to follow?
Either way it sounds like you represented yourself, the site and your school well.
Again, where was this stuff when I was in school?:(

Yeah!
When does EMU get to have a team?
Oh yeah....my school sucks!
But then again, we couldn't be any worse than the football team.
I guess I don't need to point that out to a Spartan. lol
What was that score? At least we got the sympathy TD.
In any case, I think it's cool that you got to represent your school by fishing. And ya beat the Wolverines!:)

Steely-Head - Congrats on the 4th place. I too wish they had something like this way back when. To me, the competition of tournament fishing is great. Tournament fishing sometimes gets a bad rap as being selfish and glutinous with poor handling of the fish resulting in high post-release mortality. I hope all that were to be released were in good condition.
