Had a great morning Saturday courtesy of Houghton Laker. My son had my boat out with a buddy of his.

Thanks for the ride and good times this morning.

Our boat kept 4 walleyes and had a few smallies, all pulling wire.

Man, that big screen TV he uses for a fishfinder is the cat's ass! Now I see why he catches so many fish. It's the next best thing to dropping a camera down there. What a difference that big screen makes versus a little screen like my x67c.

My son (MuskyHunter) and his buddy had a good day. 9 walleye, two muskies, two jumbo perch, 3 smallies and a white bass. He caught a 44" muskie on a 4'6" Shakespeare MicroLite rod that I gave him last year. That rod must have been bent over double for the entire 20 minutes that it took to land the fish. By the way, the rod and reel combo cost $14.99 on sale a couple of years ago at Walmart.

Way to go son. I'm proud of you. Never quit.

Just don't stop suddenly tomorrow. You might find me driving right up on top of your Hondas. I should be able to see that screen from 50 feet back I think.

On the way home I stopped to see my auto mechanic and asked him if he wanted a walleye. I gave him the biggest one. His boat hasn't been moved out of his shop for quite a while. Too busy I guess.

You know John, I tell myself to shut up and five minutes later I'm at it again. He's pretty forgiving though. In our Chrysler golf league one year they threatened to throw me out and keep him. Shows you what a nice guy he is.
