Sorry guys couldn't get it done....We wereset up right, with 3 toms going off around us. Problem was that the one to the south and the one to the North were both coming. The one from the north got there first and my FIL was half turned around but didn't get his gun up. Bird came right to me (doing the calling) downhill to my right about 35 yds and I couldn't turn. He strutted around and I was praying my fil would try to slide his gun up but he didn't. He finally went behind us and circled down to the west and came in again. This time my FIL was on him but he held up at 60 yds and then turned off. That was it. He never returned to that roost in the evening. Yesterday had 2 going strong on roost but went silent when they came down and we never saw them...Back to fishing..:dizzy:

Sounds like you had some good action, and were able to get out with your FIL. That is a success without getting a bird.

Just got word from Northwood, he just scored on a nice tom with his bow. Preliminary reports are 9.5" beard, 1" spurs, but that was just a guess, hasn't put a tape measure to it yet. That makes 3. My hunt starts monday. :D

I shot a nice tom this a.m guys. 10" beard 1" spurs are my preliminary guestimate. Shot him at 10 yds with the bow.

Just got back from my week of hunting. We hit it pretty hard during the week, and on the last day I was going to be up north I decided to take this Jake.
Was hoping for a nice longbeard, but I am happy nonetheless
Now lets see if i can get these images to work
Jake Turkey
3" Beard 10 points
spurs= "nubs" = 10 points
total 20 Points
