Mushroom season has started!!

Well, today I found 2 small mushrooms after work. The season has officially started. I can't wait for the next few weeks.

sure would help, picking has been "thin" for me too. Have a friend a little south of me who is doing well in his woodlot. But as you all know when it comes to picking friendship only goes so far.:lol: He did give me 18, so I can't complain to loudly.

Checked the Greenville area in one spot, just 1 beefsteak is all I saw. No cars in the better known spots either. Man is it dry in the woods there.

I found 8 more little bitty ones. I would have left them, but I was in a new spot and never would have found them again. WE NEED RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up North in the Grayling/Gaylord area this weekend they got started after that rain. I got 537 in 2 days, my 2 buddies did about the same for them selves. Spotty yet, had to walk a lot more than I am used to for them. Shot of winter coming up is a bummer, wait and see.
