Other turkey hunters

Just curious if any of you have exchanged turkey "calls" with another hunter, thinking he was a turkey.

You had to get a chuckle out of that even if you didn't get a bird that day.

I got into a dueling turkey calls episode, one time with another hunter. Both of us where probably trying to get the other to take a hike.
5 min. after I heard the door slam and the gravel flying from the other guys truck, as he left, 3 jakes came running past me from his direction...
I started laughing so hard, I thought I was going to choke to death.

About 25 years ago when I hunted the fall season for the first time, I was set-up and using a Lynch Box call on the side of a hill when I noticed two hunters slowly comming in my direction with there guns raised and motioning to each other in my direction. I yelled out in as loud a voice as I could muster at the time and they took off running as fast as they could back in the direction that they came from. This incident un-nerved me to the point that I quit turkey hunting for 7 years. My best friend finally got me to get back into it once again. Let me tell you, what a feeling that is seeing two guys comming your way with guns raised. The only thing I keep thinking about is thank god they didn't start shooting. Safety should be everyones priority when in the woods. They have a safety course for firearms, archery and I really feel that they should have one just for Turkey Hunting as well.
