I upgraded the motor this year. I am now using a weed whip I found on the side of the road. I mounted a propeller from my ole trolling motor to it. I figured out that if I used an old hockey stick, I could mount the weed whip to it, then use the hockey stick as my tiller arm. Should work pretty good.

I've got a couple steel rims that I put out as downriggers, but precision trolling can't seem to help me out with all the speeds and distances.

So, I know it's nice out...what have you all been up to?

winter was tough on me, I didn't want to see the ice go and now that it is I have too much to do and too little time. I admit I have been overly crabby this winter and would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the bulk of you, some of you are creeps and don't deserve it!:lol: Just kidding, yeah spring, hitting the Tippy Dam tonight and then I am going to take a two week fishing break to finish the yard work and pull out the boat.

Looking outside this morning I would say it doesnt look anything like Spring. Its cold, snowing and I already have at least 3" on the ground and its till coming down... Looks like February again :rant:

Hope I dont have to break out my winter camo to go Turkey hunting in 9 days :lol:

Winter can to that to everyone. Hopefully spring will make everyone less sensitive on these forums so when we do have different opinions we can agree to disagree, myself included. Walleye and trout season are opening up very soon!!!. If that doesnt put a smile on your face you should check your ticker:).

Let me know if you want some lighter downrigger reels. I have a ton of plastic Wired EDM wire spools. They have ribs molded in the ends of them and if you clip a playing card to the mounting base it clicks as they spool off cable (like bicycle spokes). Very precise, 1/4 inch clicks just like a rifle scope. Do the math and count the clicks and your golden!!:coolgleam

My cat got out ans shes always been an inside cat,Its my fault I opened up the window last night thinking there was a screen on it and there wasnt this was about 4am this morning I feel so bummed out right now not knowing if she is going to come back or not.I down in the dumps right now sorry if I suck but thats just the way it is.
