View Full Version : POLE: Hunting in Comfort- Gentlemen
Steve...no fair erasing!
Ok guys, you don't get off easy here.
In the field....boxers or briefs? Why?
Cotton? Flannel? Silk? WOOL? Synthetic blend?
Or none at all?
Ladies.....great stocking stuffer ideas here!

Barbed wire and sand-paper thong. Keeps me awake so I don't fall out of my stand.

I like briefs when hunting just because they fit better under my long john's.
I've tried those Boxer Briefs, but all they do is trap moisture in and get you cold after sitting for awhile.
The new polypropelene underware looks like a great idea, but the cost for a weeks supply, is just a bit too much to bare. :p

I wear boxers some days, other days brief. I can wear either, except when i am out mountain biking. When I am out biking, defintely briefs! You don't want to hear an explanation, trust me!

Diapers maby??? j/k :)
I wear whatever. Doesn't seem to matter too much to me, but if I'm going to be walking a bit I prefer briefs.

I think it all depends on what got washed the night before.. lol!! Actually, I will usually wear boxers out in the field.
Ladykiller...you wear briefs while you're biking?? Don't you wear cycling shorts??

Who has time to think of and pack underwear? I wear whatever I was wearing when I left home. Tough when on an extended hunt! <----<<<

A little tip for you newbies. Whether briefs or boxers, after two or three days be sure to turn them inside out. Gives you that fresh ready to go feeling. :)

Jockeys. I can't stand the feel of boxers. With jockey briefs, "things" are closer to the body and conserve warmth. The thigh and groin area have a lot of blood circulation and need to stay warm. A good pair of thermals pulled over them and I'm ready to go.

I like to wear the traditional kilt when upland bird hunting, lassie. Burrs are a bother, but makes an interesting pass time for the wife after the hunt. :D
