Lakeville Lake report

For those of you eastsiders that are curious about Lakeville, the fishing has been pretty good. We went out the other night to try out our motor and managed to sneak in a little fishing. Managed to catch a few on a very half hearted fishing attempt. Bass, bluegill, rock bass, etc. were biting.

Talked with a guy on the dock and he has been doing pretty good with pike.

Not too much boat traffic(it was a weeknight) and much less jet skiis and water skiers.

The motor ran perfect! We had a few funny looks cruising around Lakeville Lake in a big yellow drift boat. It was kind of hard to tell if the short shaft was going to work or not without getting the boat in the water. It's perfect.

Full speed swamps the boat a little. Might be a different story if I was in the back and not John!:eek: :D Will work nice for a little Jon boat I just bought also.
