here are the materials. mono eyes, pheasant tail, tan dubbing, grizz hackle, pheasant under wing feathers, #6 straight eye nymph hook

1. tie in your eyes.

2. tie in your tail useing 3-4 pheasant tail fibers, then tie in 8-10 more for backing

3. tie in grizz hackle.

4. dub body about 3/4 hook shank.

5. wrap hackle forward about 4- 5 times.

6. tie in under body feathers and wrap i also add a lil more hackle near the head for a legging effect.

7. bring longer pheasant tail feathers forward and secure. for head and whip finish and cement.

I tied a similar pattern but i used ostrich herl instead of grizzly hackle and also peacock herl for the shellback instead of pheasant ( although I do it with pheasant also).

cool i have some of that same pattern with the same materials you used. easy and effective.
