I just tired to do the Michigan small game survey. What a lame poor survey and they indicate that is one tool to determine game numbers and management? I an a bit slow on computers but they had a question for land type...however no indication what the heck to fill in and they would not take the survey without the land type...good grief.
Anyone else in here had this survey? Probably I am just too simple minded but darn it is frustration to see the DNR hiding behind a desk to get data rather than heading to the field.
Ok..off the box.

I did the online survey this morning. I didn't have any trouble. I can't remember exactly how or where you input the land type, but it seems like for each county you could check a box for private, public , or both.

i did it a little while ago and there were boxes to check next to the land type, multiple choice style.

Yep, I had the same thing.I checked my option of private, public or both..it was the box in the column before it that I needed to put something in it. There was no indication of what the heck to put in the empty blank box and it said I had to put something there..so strange.

The box prior to land type was the county you hunted in (I think).
It was a few days ago when I did the survey but didn't seem to have any problems when I submitted the results.

I took it, seemed a bit confusing at first, but just had to read it. I am glad they are trying to do something.

Yeah I had the same problem with what to put in the land type box?? Some rocket scientist from the DNR must have came up with that form. If they really want good numbers maybe they should have tried to fill out the form themselves before they mass e-mailed to hunters.
