Sanford Lake Pike Tournament

Got my pamphlet yesterday and I already put it in todays mail. The entry fee is now $60 and it's on May 17th.

Its a really fun, well organized tourney.

Dang it ! I usually fish that tourny, but I'm already signed up for a Walleye tournament that week end :rant:. I agree that it's a well run event - NICE people, always had fun. C-man

I believe that there are entry forms at the Sanford Lake Park. Otherwise They have them distributed around Midland/bay city/saginaw. (they have them at my local ace hardware in Midland.)

well, we've won once and been in the top ten %30 of the time. I wouldn't call that "dominating" but I'm happy with it.

I'm not talking crap to you walleye I know you've won it once. CMU has never won it... lol
I have been in it twice and one time the boat broke down and the other time the same guy(he got a way sweeter boat now) and we caught a lot of pike but none were keepers. It was a rainy day and I didn't see any fish that other boats that got fish.
I am not a big fan of tournaments and my partner isn't sweet at fishing but this will be a lot of fun i think...

Actually I saw a tournament coming up that is a $200 entry fee for four people per boat in the bay. $5,000 for first prize. That sounds pretty interesting I forget what the date is but if you aren't signed up and you guys want to then let me know. I think you know who I am by now. lol

nothing that I know of. It's this saturday at sanford lake park. They usually have some spots left right before the tourney.

CMU you should probably win and then talk crap... We all know that anything could happen Sat. I have pre fished two years for this and the day of the tourney ended up being the totla opposite of what we did the week before.

I wouldnt mind having a little tourney on the side if some of you would be willing to on sanford. Say $20-30 a team. 5 dollar big fish pot. And do it sometime in June.

I heard cmu didn't do as hot as he was planning on. Walleye was the only one in the boat to get a fish. Also he invited someone elses girlfriend bow fishing with us. It was awkward because I thought it was going to be just guys. lol

mykass, we were talking about a tournament in the bay for the $100 one. If we could get enouh people together I would do two or three man teams for $50 or $100 a boat in wixom.
