The Michigan Squirrel Dog Assn. will have a non-sanctioned squirrel trial on April 12 at the home of Mike English. Any type dog is welcome as long as it is not agressive. From the corner of US27 and M57 go 10 miles east on M57 to Meridian Rd. ( there is also a sign on that corner that says Co. line Rd. ) then 1/2 mile north on the west side. Draw out time is 9:00 AM and will be strictly enforced. It will be a 2 hour hunt. We will draw out in two man casts and those two will hunt as a team. The team that trees the most squirrels wins. It is as simple as that.
The cost to enter will be $10.00 for members. All non-members must join to enter so your cost would be $30.00 ( $10.00 to enter and $20.00 to join the club ). Each member that enters can enter as many dogs that he owns for $10.00 each. We will have a pot luck dinner so bring a nice dish to pass and your own soft drinks. We like to eat. We will ask for a $5.00 donation from those who don't bring a dish. The prizes will be a Rugar 10/22 each for the first team, a prize in the $50.00 to $75.00 price range each for the second team and a $25.00 prize each for the third team. We want to make this a big hunt so please join us. You will have a good time. For more information please call Mike English at 989 862 5191 or Loyd Frisbie at 989 833 7295.
