These are the rest of the rules that we decided on for our April 12 trial.
Draw out time is 9:00 AM and must return by 1:00 PM. These dead lines will be strictly enforced. Two man casts will be drawn from a can. Hunting spots will be drawn from a can. In case of a tie, we will count number of circle trees. If still a tie we will toss a coin or have a hunt off if desired. Both men must see the squirrel for it to count. You can count only one squirrel per tree. Dog must be actively treeing. Each cast must sign their score card and turn it in. Each team will get a list of rules and a map where they will be hunting. If two casts get together, time out will be called so they can get back to their areas. You cannot change areas. If dogs fight it is the cast members responsibility to work it out any way they can. They may want to hunt one dog at a time. The first prize winners will get a certificate for a Ruger 10/22 paid in full from Bares Sport Shop. The second and third place prizes will be at the club. If one member enters more than one dog, they can't be in the same cast. Mike English will have a map and list of rules for each cast.
