I picked up a 26' Seaswirl Striper with a volvo-penta duo-prop outdrive. There is a beaver-trol on the outdrive. When I bring my lower unit all the way up on the trailer, I still only have about 12" to the ground(if that much). Being as a new set of props is like $1300 and a whole new lower unit isn't any cheaper, I would like to avoid tearing them off if possible. I read the manual and called the previous owner. Neither mentioned/knew of a "trailer switch" or anything to lift it up more. I am going to try to call Seaswirl today to sea what they say. Any thoughts???

Jason....I am not sure about your boat but on my boat I have a trim/tilt button on both sides of the throttle lever. When the boat is under power I can just hit the switch on one side of the throttle lever. To put the outdrive in trailer position I need to hold down both buttons at the same time.
Hope this helps,
Scott

Yeah, I looked for that, but none to be found. I called Seaswirl and they said there is a manual release latch on the lower unit to manually lift the lower unit for trailering. I called Northport Marina(where the boat was purchased) and they said they've never heard of that. I'll look at it again when I get home.
