Maple River State Game Area

ive been driving past the Maple River State Game Area for years now but haven't had the chance to scope it out for any small game, im looking to hike through it soon. has anyone hunted the area or the "connector area" and what was your impression of the area?

I used to coon hunt west of 27, it's nice area. I would not try to deer hunt it with a gun though it gets real busy. I was tolded by friends the duck marsh is really good also. There's lots of land, just have to park and walk and check it out.

I know it very well. My sons and I coon, small game hunt, and run traps out there.
