Fished Fair Haven Monday 3-24-08 & did well. The perch have been there for a couple of weeks & will be till ice out! Four-wheelers still going out.... ice is in better shape (12-13") than the west side of the lake & Ancor Bay.

Perch are being caught in the Swan Creek area, what use to be Bud's resturant & where I went, about 1 & 1/2 miles out from the launch next to the Raft Bar & Grill. The perch in these locations aren't Jumbos, most keepers are 8 - 8 & 1/2" with about 30% up to 11" & 3:1 are throwbacks. The keepers I caught on Monday were 8-10".

This is mostly a morning bite & minnows are your best bet. I fished in 5.5' of water but only 3' down. I use orange jigs in this slightly murky water (easier to see) & 4lb. fluorocarbon line. Raise & lower your bait every 1-2 minutes, this & fishing high in the water column will bring you more fish.

thanks for the report. it's sad when someone has to say that others wont be happy about a report that contains fish being caught. It's a forum about fishing reports guys. What would it be if we didn't post our reports when fish were caught (along with not being caught). If you don't want to contribute then don't reep the rewards of other people's knowledge.

Thanks for the report, was out in Fair Haven last week. Water was real dirty, but I didn't go out that far. Was debating about going to Brandenburg or the Raft and I think you've made up my mind.

Brandenburgh is done! Lost most of the ice. Ice only to the end of pier now! Whats left looks bad.

Saturday's weather looks great for fishing & this is the area to be in. Everyone is taking fish home. Please don't forget to post. I enjoy the posts & seeing how people did. Not much time left, so get out there & get some! :)
