I bought that reel at the end of last summer. Bass pro had them on sale for $129. So far it has been a great reel and I havent had any problems with it. You got a good deal on it and I dont see why you wouldnt like it

I bought a Johnnie Morris Signature Series for my son at BPS last month. They were on sale for $79 and I got a older edition Xps rod for an extra penny.

Of course we haven't tried it out yet but hopefully soon.......real soooon.;)

BTW, it's my son's first baitcaster. This should be interesting.

Make him stick with it and he will thank you for years to come. When i was a pup my grampa would put coffee cans all over the yard and give us 3 or 4 baitcasters with a washer or a nut tied on. We would spend hours trying to see who could pitch and cast into the cans. Baitcasters are all i use till this day :)

Got the reel to day, I am impressed, it's not a shimano but nothing else is, but for the money it is a good deal, I guess we will see how it hold up on the swimbait rod this year.
