I'll be buying an X-15 MT next week and I'm not sure whether to go with the single or dual frequency transducer. I mainly fish for smallmouth and walleye but I'll occasionally be trolling for salmon. Any advise would be appreciated as well as the pro's and con's. Thanks!

I would get the dual frequency. Having a wide and narrow beam is the biggest advantage. A fish could get marked by one beam and not the other. With both, you shouldn't miss much.

The biggest advantage of the dual feq transducer is that the narrow the beam the deeper it can go. Unless you are going to fish real deep I wouldn't spend the extra loot, but thats just me.

I have one of these units and am glad I got the dual freq as the wider cone picks up bait and fish in Deep water that I don't see with my LMS 350 that has a narrow cone angle.
