getting on the ice is a little problem at both genos and crocker. most people were accessing at the dnr. I had to go across a board at the trailer park.the ice is fine 4 foot off shore. you might want to bring a plank with you.i almost went thru if i had not caught myself climbing down a seawall. the ice broke and i had to hoist myself back up. almost lost it and that spot is 4 foot deep.
we fished sat. night and could not get a bite going. lots of small fish . took home 13 with only 2 big fish.

I know I could get on at Crocker,, with some planks,, I just don't feel like walking all the way around to Gino's. I'm sure if I scour the shoreline around Gino's I hope I could get on somewhere..:(.... maybe

Hey, William H. Bonney, if you want someone to walk out with, (me and my dad), with two fish trap shanties, let me know. I plan making a last apperance with my dad tomorrow morning. Planned to go out at Metro, but if I could find some good fish, without a long walk, (my dad is 67, and dont like to walk long on the ice) I would love to launch with you tomorrow morning. Write back, or private P.M. me. Happy Easter.

Be careful out from Gino's. My son put a leg through Sunday morning. He's done icefishing for the season!
Not sure where. I'm just glad he got off the ice safely.

HI everybody, just got in from ginos. Ice is starting to get real rough along the rocks. Pick a spot where not to many others have stepped onto ice, you should be ok. People fishing in shallow did not fair to well. I fished about 8fow. Did ok got 20 8 1/2- 11in. Most about 10in. Cuaght alot of 6-7in. Some on rosey red minnows, most jigging minnow heads on a few differant jigs. Fish were tight to the bottom only a few above a foot or so. Orange seemed to be the best color jigging. I was out friday & today, lost about 2in of ice. Monday will be my last day out for the season. To EVERYONE STAY SHORE SIDE OF PRESSURE CRACKS water was starting to come thru. I did fish 4fow hour an ahalf before dark with a white green spoon with white glow bead and caught 3 more keepers. EVERYBODY BE CAREFUL ICE IS GOING QUICK !!!!!!!
