Here is a question for everyone! We have hunting land in Misaukee County and we've been seeing a lot of coyotes lately. All the rabbits and grouse are gone now. And yesterday while looking for coyote sign, I kick up a large badger. Any ideas how to get rid of them? We're gonna have a good old fashioned coyote hunt next week, but what about the badger?

I found that you can trap badgers, but not shoot unless you have a special permit from the DNR. http://www.michigan.gov/eMI/Agency/CDA/agy_CDA_Frame/1,1630,7-153-10363_10880_10990-32033--,00.html?frameURL=http://www.michigan.gov/documents/furbearer_table_39246_7.htm

From DNR website:
<You Cannot: Shoot a muskrat, beaver, otter, mink, fisher, marten or badger, except under DNR permit.>
