Friday from noon till snow i caught a dozen keepers.
7s 8s and a couple of 9" s
slow but steady, 3oo pm was the best.
fished about 200 yards straight out. from the day ramp.
you have to go down over the rocks, the shore is really soft.
the ramp is NO-GO.:yikes:
bring your spud.
Saturday i went back hopeing to cash in on those Jumbos i keep dreamin about.
are they ever going to get here.:dizzy:
I fish close, i fished far. I even walked to the beach.
and i only had 2 fish in my bucket.
I stopped and talked to quite a few anglers.
mostly Dinks and right off the bottom.
one guy must of had 30 or more, but were talking small 5 & 6"
could this be the end ?
The day was so nice I decided to stay till dark.
One last hole ,and one last chance , I went right back in front.
100 yards from shore.
I hooked into my first real JUMBO of the year. 11" female
7.30 pm and I yelled ! to the rest of the few anglers that were still on the ice .
but that was it. :confused:
a teaser calling be to come back one more time before the ice leaves us soon.
if the temps hold maybe one more weekend :D
theres still 6 to 8 " inches of ice.
