double trouble

went out this morning ,but couldn't decide where. thanks to a buddy we parked near geno's at a bil's house. walked thru the fire truck access. there were a hundred people spread out all over the place from shore to a half mile out. headed south to a little bay in 5.5 foot of water. first couple holes and roadkill catches 5 small ones to my nothing. i am getting a bit steamed cause i was running my mouth about being tuned in to the fish. walked a bit more and tried a hole. within a couple minutes i pulled up a 11.5 slob. never moved. we ended up with 19 we kept and released another 30. i caught all but two of the keepers.most on my blue glow jigging spoon and a couple on minnows.kept none under 8 . most over 9. 6 or 8 true slobs. the vexilar and jigging spoon are paying dividends.pop that spoon and let it set.most fish came a foot off bottom. i was in someones shanty for a while . the fish were just cruising ,but once in a while you could get them to slam it. I caught a couple largemouth and had something real big on a minnow. never saw it.ice is still 10 inches.you could just see bottom .best fishing of the year is NOW. fish are big and in close. good luck
