Went fishing in the Kalamazoo River Sunday east of the Raymond Road bridge in Battle Creek. Caught four smallies in about 50 casts. Good size, too. Caught all four on a Walleye Assassin.
The oldtimer coworkers here all say that it could be one of the best smallie places in the state. Gonna have to hit it again soon!
