I'm part of a coalition of Pennsylvania hunters who are lobbying our legislators to pass a license fee increase.
As it stands right now our basic adult resident license allows for "1" antlered buck, (gun season), "1" spring turkey, "1" fall turkey and all small game hunting for rabbits, grouse, squirrel, and pheasant.
Also included is 24/7/365 for coyotes, (bow or gun), and groundhog hunting included for a grand total of --- $20.
Yes - dirt cheap!
I'm doing a survey of comparable costs from other states based on these basic allowances with needed license or permits:
1 buck
2 turkeys
pheasants
general small game
I've gone to your states website and I have it that (resident), general license, + small game, + spring turkey would be a total of $49 (15 + 15 + 4 +15)
However I couldn't find anything on fall turkey.
Is there another $4 application fee and another $15 fee for fall turkey?
I also noticed that there is a license fee increase effort in your state. Good luck with that.
Thanks.
