I'm attending school at michigan tech university in Hougton, I'm looking for good pike fishing and also some good spots for trout. any advice would be very helpful.

your not gonna beat portage lake for size and numbers of pike....just about every lake(not designated for trout) in that area will hold some pike....per trout/ are we talking bigtrout or stream trout?..the bays and rivermouths of superior offer great 'large trout' fishing...stream trout are abundant also..i would prefer the ontonogan i suppose, but numerous superior tribs offer trout and spectacular scenery while ur fishing....

Congrats! I'm a 2000 MTU grad, and the fishing up there is great. Lots of Northern Pike and good fishing.

Go to a bait shop and they can help you. The gas station on the hill going up to Econofoods is a great source of info for where they're biting.
