I'm buying the new PSE X-Force Dream Season, set at 60lbs, with a 29.5 inch draw length. I am going to get the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone Guide Series Rest.

What I'm stuck on is which sight to get. Fixed Pin/Pendulum?

Any recommendations would be great!

I've been researching the same topic. I have a new Black Ice on the way and am considering what I want to put on it. It's more of a factor on what you intend to do with your bow than anything else I think. My bow will be strictly used for hunting and I need the most fool proof set up possible. I already know I'm going to shoot off a WB rest. I want a set, non-adjustable, single up pin sight. I don't intend to shoot over 25-30 yards ever. With as flat as these new bow set ups shoot, I'm leaning towards the idea that a pendulum is not necessary. Should be able to shoot one fixed pin 0-30 without an issue. I have my search narrowed down to two sights. HHA's Brushfire or Vital Bow Gear's Pro-Fix. Brightness wise I'm leaning towards the VBG.

If your situation is anything like mine, there's a couple to consider. If anyone else has input...we're all ears! Good luck with your new bow!

If you want a GREAT sight with plenty of brightness, look into the CopperJohns Deadnuts 2. I just bought the Micro style ($89 for that style)) and am LOVING the heck out of it. Been a huge CJ fan most of my adult life but this sight is more than I would have expected. Definitely worth looking into.

I've been using the Carolina Archery Foxfire single pin sight for a few years now and it is a no-frills, simple, inexpensive, bright pin sight that gets the job done. I love a single pin, fixed sight for hunting. Less to think about at the moment of truth. With today's flat-shooting bows, why complicate things with multipins and adjustment?

If you are looking for bright pins, you can't beat the Montana Black Gold Flashpoint.

:yeahthat:

I just got a Black Ice about a month ago. Took off my pendulum and put on this CJ sight. No real need for the pendulum with this bow. I shoot 61lbs, 29 inch draw. I would have went twith a single pin, but I am headed out west, where the opporunity for longer shots will be an option. So the four pins (.019 size) work well. They are small and the stems are flat, so they do not block out alot of the target. They are also very bright. I looked at a many, many sights, and I am happy with the one I chose. My friend got the same sight, and is happy with his as well.

Thanks again for the info, I checked out all the sights and decided on the Vital Gear Pro Fix, single pin. Haven't been able to shoot it yet but will let you know if I think I made the right decision or need to try something else!
