Compass Question

The compass on my boat has slowly leaked over the last
month and now I cannot get a bearing. What liquid is
inside?? Can it be refilled??

I think it is an oil that slows the indicator down. I'm thinking that it should still get a bearing but would spin much faster. Perhaps a little "Bearing Grease" :D! (sorry) Repair? I doubt it.

the liquid I think is glycerin or it use to be,if you don't have access to it it probaly cost more than a new compas don't know for sure:confused:
