Can you guys tell me what type of boat you have and if your trailer has brakes/type of brakes (elect. or hydr.)
I've got a 76' Sterling trailer w/ a hydr. set-up that dont work. Thinking of switching them over to a elect. but I dont know if any boat trailers come with elect. brakes. Could it be O.K. to drop elect. brakes in the water??

Electrics are being used. Here are a couple of links. I have good working surge brakes but I have used the trailer site in the second link for supplies.

I hope this helps.

So many boaters just don't maintain their trailer brakes or even realize their importance. I'm glad you are not one of them.:) Trailer brakes need periodic inspection and adjustment.:)

I had to change the surge unit on the tongue of mine. It wasn't that hard to do. You'll have more into changing over to Elec. Electric in the water, I wouldn't..but that's just me. Good Luck
